Alex Marrero Miami photographer zooms in on a field photography workshop at Gold Coast Railroad Museum (GCRM). Meet with members of The Art of Photography International at this one-of-a-kind workshop event on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11 AM.
A fleet of majestic steam and diesel locomotives will act as your subjects in this unique field photography workshop. On January 6th 2024, artists are invited to join Rafael of The Art of Photography International (TAOP Miami Chapter) at Gold Coast Railroad Museum (GCRM) to capture industrial images of historic transportation pieces. With the museum’s railroad surroundings as your backdrop, creatives and artists will have the chance to learn new strategies in manipulating light in their images. Participants at the workshop will also learn lessons on how to adapt their camera kit and toolbox of composition techniques to meet available light and field conditions (both positive and negative). Alex Marrero looks forward to expanding his portfolio with images of these historic passenger and freight railcars. The opportunity to receive technical feedback out on the field is a unique experience of its own. This field photography outing workshop has a $10 entry fee.
The Gold Coast Railroad Museum (GCRM) Field Photography Workshop will be taught by The Art of Photography International (IAOP Miami Chapter) workshop leader and instructor Rafael. A seasoned photographer and instructor in the art, he has taught numerous classes through the “My Community” School program. Fellow Miami based photographer Alex Marrero is inspired by Rafael’s field photography outing workshops. These practical learning events are invaluable for artists and budding creatives looking to learn new techniques. The upcoming January 2024 field photography workshop event also offers the opportunity to expand your portfolio with quality compositions. Marrero looks forward to adding new light techniques to his technical toolbox and expanding his portfolio with images of some of America’s most poignant locomotives.
